This case study outlines the key role of business development as a critical pillar of the Lighting Africa program across the countries we work in. Through training on best business practices and business-to-business linkages, the program helps off-grid energy companies fine tune their business models, sales and marketing strategies, and product distribution networks, so more clean and affordable lighting products reach households all around the country. This is exactly what was achieved in Ethiopia as owners, managers, and employees of SMEs integrated in the solar supply chain across 11 regions of the country benefited from such a training, with impactful benefits to these businesses and consumers in these regions.
