Lighting Global Discusses ROGEAP at ECOWAS’ Sustainable Energy Forum

ESMAP’s Lighting Global Program Manager, Raihan Elahi, spoke at ECOWAS’ Sustainable Energy Forum 2023 held in Praia, Cabo Verde on October 13 and 14, 2023, about access to finance in the off-grid sector in the ECOWAS region. The panel discussion was part of the latest Community of Champions (CoC) event, which focused on sharing lessons learned on the off-grid solar energy market and creating awareness on how the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP) can support off-grid solar companies with overcoming financial and technical challenges in the project’s 19 countries in West Africa and the Sahel region. ROGEAP was officially launched by H.E. Dr Alieu Omar Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission the day prior.
